Brief Request

You may have noticed the information on the right-hand side of my blog about StepLively – a walk for Hospice of Wake County.
It takes place November 6 at 11am in Raleigh.

In just 26 days, our team will be walking to help raise money for the outstanding facility and staff members that make Hospice just….well, amazing.
And we could use your help.
We’re only at 10% of our goal — we can do so much more.
We can help so much more!

I am walking to bring comfort and peace to individuals and families coping with end of life and the many medical, emotional, spiritual and financial needs that arise. This facility, their staff and volunteers have made a huge difference to our family.

And you can take steps to help Hospice of Wake County do this important work by contributing to my walk or walking by my side.

Proceeds from the inaugural walk generated by walkers, donors and sponsors will support the care and comfort extended to hospice patients in the William M. Dunlap Center for Caring.

The newly opened Dunlap Center is our area’s only freestanding facility dedicated to meeting the needs of people in the final stages of life who cannot stay in their own homes. In keeping with their vision of offering quality, compassionate care to all in need, Hospice of Wake County admits patients to this hospice home without regard for economic status or ability to pay.

Designed specifically for this purpose, the hospice home includes 20 patient rooms, as well as areas set aside for family members and children. In its first year alone, the center is expected to open its doors to over 300 patients.

One foot at a time, I will enable Hospice to extend a helping hand.
Please help. Every dollar counts.
