Things are about to change around here. For the better. Even though I don’t quite believe that myself, not quite yet.
My baby is going to kindergarten. My tiny baby is going to preschool. I am actually going to leave the house to go to a very flexible part-time job.
It hit me a few weeks ago that our “pack-it-up-and-leave-on-a-whim” days are numbered.
Granted, we aren’t really the “pack-it-up-and-leave-on-a-whim” type of people. But I don’t like being told what to do. So I feel the need to pack it and leave on a whim. Just because.
Yep. Things are sure going to be different.
In a good way, of course – at least, that’s what I’m told.
Since our Summer days (and nights) will soon come to an end, I thought I’d share some photos of the fun we’ve had so far this Summer. Despite the sticky hot humidity, it’s our favorite season by far.

sitting barefoot in the grass, because shoes are so overrated…
soaking up the rays. And the insect repellent…
spending quality time with Daddy…
drenching stuffing yourself silly with watermelon…
gobbling your fair share before your starvin‘ little sister snags it…
feeling the sand between your toes, the salt on your skin,
and hopefully not the sea gull poo on your shoulder…
playing with your best friends. All day. Every day.
