We just got word that the ultrasound came back clear – no blood clots! That’s terrific news, for sure.
As we speak, the Resident is writing up Chad’s discharge notes and we should be able to get out of here soon.
I’m not too thrilled about driving home during rush hour, but we are going home much earlier than expected so I’m not going to complain. We can’t wait to see the girls and sleep in our own bed – and eat food that wasn’t prepared in mass quantities!

We’ve got to stop on our way to pick up meds, but we should be home around 8pm or so. Hopefully before then, but I’m being realistic.

That is excellent news!!! It’s amazing how well Chad has done with his surgery and recovery. You two are inspiration! Enjoy your rest in your own bed tonight. We’ll be in touch with you shortly, but not too soon. We know you will have many visitors and lots of calls. Let us know if you need anything. We are so happy for you both!

That Chad just keeps dazzling us all! Let me know if I can help with the “at home” stuff. Sometimes that’s harder than being in the hospital! I’m sure the girls will be elated he’s at home. If I can bring something to you or Chad from work or wherever, let me know! We’re all still wearing our red ribbons for Chad!
