It’s about 11am, and he’s getting prepped for surgery. Surgery should start any minute now, and he was in good spirits when we last saw him. The surgical team will call us when surgery starts, about half-way thru, and at the end. We’ll get to see him in ICU about an hour after he is done with surgery.
The resident helping with the surgery today used to play college hoops in Wisconsin – so he & Chad had Big 10 basketball to talk about (including Duke, unfortunately).
Updated 11:10am – The surgery has started. They will call us with more info in about 1.5- 2 hours.
Sending good vibes and thoughts your way. I know it will all go well and I hope to see you for dinner one night next week.
WE are praying for Chad and wish we were in that waiting room with you. Waiting is the hard part.
Hi Skye – I sent you an email last night, but didn’t know if you got it. I want you to know that we are praying for you, here in Fayetteville! Thanks for keeping us posted!
