ACK!

Where has the time gone? It seems like I was just posting about Chad’s big surgery news & now the week is upon us.
I’ve gotten a ton of stuff done, and still have a ton more to go. Fortunately, the rest is just minute details no one else cares about but me…so no one will know if I don’t get it all done. Niiiiiiice.

We’re leaving early Thursday morning and heading to Winston-Salem for a fun-filled day of appointments. Then we’ll check into out hotel & patiently wait for a call about Chad’s surgery time for Friday (oh yes, as in Friday, a mere four days from now…).
I’ve packed some things. I’ve unpacked some things.
At least this time, we know that we’re in for a week-long stay in the hospital….it does make the job a little easier, planning wise.
Can you believe I actually found $30 in quarters left over from the last time we were in the hospital? SCORE!
I keep a bag packed and tucked away in the top of our closet, in the event of an emergency trip to the hospital. I hope to avoid the aimless pacing and confused stuffing of random items into a bag, like last time.

When the vending machines start calling my name at 4am Sunday, I’ll be armed & ready for a feast, a la cart style, baby.

  4. Skye,

I like your plan. I usually pack a “few times” before something big. With all those quarters you will eat like a king. We will be thinking and praying for you guys this coming week.
